Hey family...
love you all! write me!

Hey family,
How´s it going? Another transfer is coming to a close. Wow! I canñt believe how fast time passes.
Kyle,
thanks a lot for your email. I liked it a lot. I feel lonely
sometimes, but I do enjoy a lot of what we do. I feel really inadequate
and like a failure a lot because we aren´t cumpliendo con las metas de
la mision. But people are changing and we don´t see all the fruits of
what we do. Y vamos a mejorar. I have a list of people that I want to
look up when I get back home. on facebook. Haha in Sociedad de Socorro
this sunday we learned that facebook is of the devil. I felt the
spirit really strongly (that´s sarcasm by the way. I`m going to refrain
from talking more about relief society in Nicaragua...)
Mom, thanks for the emails always. I got the first two packages.
Thanks for being so awesome. I tore off the label thing you had to
write out so I don´t know what´s inside.
Thanks for writing Hna Silva. I know she appreciates it.
Dad, thanks for the letters. Good job on completing your goal of going to the temple every month.
Doug
congratulations on graduating. I realized last week that I said
congrats to Kevin for his progress in school but I never said anything
to you! Que barbaridad!
Dani, congratulations because you have lots of faith! And good luck. Give my mom a hug for me!
Kevin, good job passing your written exams!!!!! That´s awesome.
Tanner and Nani and Scotty and Adam and David, start practicing being missionaries.
Yesterday was kind of a bad day.
Um... Enrique feels pressured to
get baptized but doesn't feel ready. The lesson this Sunday in
Principles of the Gospel was on agency and afterwards he had his
interview. hahaha. But he missed sacrament meeting when someone quoted
Mosiah 18 Que os impide? Anyway, he has changed a ton. His family has
changed a ton and he´s going to get baptized at some point.
A less active came to church yesterday that hadnñt come in 6 weeks.
Also, the husband of one of our pilas investigators wants to change.
He had to do something yesterday morning and was going to church at 11,
for the last hour. But, he met his wife who was going home from church,
and didn't want to be in church by himself so he went home. He´s going
to be in Costa Rica for the next two weeks. We are working with about 5
people with really strong addictions to alcohol. President Monestel
sent us an addiction recovery book and we are starting to read it. IT´s
awesome. Also, you all should be proud to find out that you daughter
slash sister and her companion won 2nd place in the zone for cleanest
apartment. More importantly, we won chocolate!
WE are also working with another part member family, Marlon and Rosa
Aura. He isn´t a member. He has gone to church twice. He is reading
the ldm and believes that it is true. They are praying together at
night. I have a way stronger testimony of family prayer. People feel a
HUGE DIFFERENCE when they start praying as a family.
Love to all. Congrats to Mallory and Daniel for graduating! Say hi to
Charlotte. I wrote her a letter the other day. Just have to send it...
Love love love

Hey family,
here´s my letter to President Monestel. The pouch finally came so I got a ton of letters and dear elders. Thanks.! I got one from Charlotte, Doug and Dani, a ton from Grandma Campbell, and from Mom. Thanks!
I need the addresses of Grandma and Grandpa Tew, Sarah Cotton, Regan Baker, and Mary Katherine. Mary Katherine can help me out with Regan´s address I think.
Hope everything is good with you all. Pray that Enrique gets baptized this weekend!
Love, Hna Tew
Hey Family,
Thanks for the letter Cheryl, Doug, Dani, and Dad. I liked the comic too. I think mom sent it?
Sounds like everyone is busy. Good luck with moving, Doug and Dani. I hope the job interviews go well, Doug. and that you move to Gillette :)
I hope everything goes well with the fam, work, and relief society, Cheryl. Good job, Kevin! Sounds like you are working really hard in your school work.
Dad. thanks for your letter. I think your sense of humor is getting dry er. Go run that marathon! and write your book. I like your thoughts. This morning Hna Silva shared her thoughts about the paralytic man. She said that sometimes we´re like the man when we don´t actually answer the questions we recieve, we just start making excuses. I liked your thoughts about Jesus washing the disciples´ feet.
Grandma Campbell, thanks for the letters. I like recieving the written bits that you add on. I am not near the ocean (I don´t think so, anyway) but I am a little bit near the big lake. The cousin reunion sounds like it went really well. I really liked the picture I got of everyone by the temple. Cool! Congratulations on your bowling successes! :)
Last monday we went on a walk slash hike to a nature reserve. It´s about 7 km to get the the reserve and then you walk around the reserve. It was all really beautiful. There was a waterfall there and a ton of chocoyos live there but we didn´t see any. We didn´t see any monkeys either, but we heard them! We saw some really beautiful butterflies. It was fun to go, but it was kind of long. We took a moto for most of the ride home.
Well, the rainy season has started her.
I wrote a little bit about Enrique in the letter to President Monestel. He´s happy and his family is happy. They have four boys and one girl too. The girl is the youngest! He hasn´t received an answer if the book of mormon is true or not, but he´s been really happy living the gospel, having family prayers, reading the scriptures, and going to church. The Elders in Ticuantepe are teaching a cool family that is hopefully getting baptized this weekend too. The branch is going to grow!!!! it is growing!!!
Oh yeah, I got the letter with Scotty´s drawings and the picture of the family. I really liked the picture. It is on the wall. David is cute!
We´re teaching another part member family. Marlon and Rosa Aura. Marlon isn´t a member. He´s gone to church at least twice before. He´s really cool. He didn´t want to join us the first lesson, but we invited him the second lesson and he came! Last night he was going to leave and we asked him to join us and he did. He must want to change a little bit because he´s getting a little softer. He told us that there is more peace when they pray as a family. Family prayer is magical, folks. Actually, it´s a commandment, so we receive blessings of peace when we obey it. He is going to get baptized soon too.
Carmen is reading her book of mormon and she says that she feels peace when she reads it. COOL!!! Her husband is a really nice guy, but he works a lot and hasn´t been reading. But at least he tells us the truth. I like that.
the husband of one of our awesome investigators told us that he wants to change too. but this sunday he didn´t go to church and he wasn´t home for the appoinment. I think he´s probably just scared. He´s going to getbaptized too. :)
Well, I love you all. Pray for me! and my investigators. we want to start addiction recovery program here becuase there are a ton of problems here. Love, love, love, Hna Tew

Hey family,
I haven´t read any emails yet, and I haven´t written president either, but I wanted to ask a few questions.
my companion hardly ever gets mail from her family. Maybe you could write her a short note? She speaks perfect English, so anyone can write her. She´s really nice. her email is blanca.silva at myldsmail.net
Dale Helfer? and Andrew?
Sarah`s address?
G and G tew`s new address?
And I am also requesting the missionary moments.
It was great to talk to you yesterday. Thanks for being a great family!
Love, Mb
Hey hey hey
Cheryl, Thanks for the pictures! I loved them. The kids really look different. They´re so big! Nani looks different. I don't think I got all of your letter. So, maybe you can send on the rest of it this week! I hope you are Kevin and doing well. Thanks for writing me. I always like to hear from you.
Kevin, I really liked hearing that you are reading to your kids. I just feel good every time I think of you reading to them because I remember Dad reading to me. and mom too.
Mom, Happy mothers day again. I kind of talked a lot yesterday without saying thanks. ingrata. Thanks for being a great mom. Yesterday we visited a mom who hit her son with a twig while we were there. Thanks for always being a good example of love and patience and forgiveness.
Dad, thanks for your letter and thanks for your advice yesterday. I will try to think a little more positively. Sounds like you´re developing lots of talents. Good luck with your trombone.
Good luck in the garden, mom. Tell the tulips hi for me! I was also glad to hear about the miracle ash. There are always miracles!!!
Well, Enrique went to church this Sunday with almost all of his family. Only one son stayed in the house to make sure it was safe. His family was really happy that he went! They have 4 sons and then a daughter, like us. And the daughter stays up late until everyone gets home to say prayers, even though she´s tired. The dad, Enrique, told us that she asked him over and over Sunday morning if he was going to go to church with them. Si, hombre! he said. haha.
Well, we are hoping that Enrique will get baptized this month. he has 6 days without smoking or drinking. And he really wants to change. He wants to get baptized.
Well, we have to get going now. I´m sorry this is short but I don´t have time to write more. I love you all!
Thanks for writing me.

Hey everyone,
I haven´t read your emails yet. Dad I don´t get the missionary moments from church history, but I would like to. What time should I call this Sunday? I´m really excited to talk to you!
love, mb
Hello Family,
Well, I`m going to call in 6 days. I haven`t figured out a place where I can call... but I guess I`ll be calling the home phone.
Kevin: I approve of your reading selection. Sigue adelante, hijo. How did your written qualifiers turn out?
Cheryl: good luck with work and church and home. Have you heard anything about you adoption papers? How´s that going?
Kyle: hi! I hope you`re doing well.
Doug and Dani: Where are you guys going to move? How is school going?
Pablito: I hope you´re feeling well and that work is happy. Say hi to the munchkins for me.
Mom: Thanks for the email. I want to go to New York! It sounds like you´re having a great time. How was Dale?
Grandma Campbell: Thanks for your letters, I love to hear from you and you´re a very faithful writer!
Grandma and Grandpa Tew: I hope you like your new place! Do you ever play games?
Dad: Hey there. I was planning on calling at 7:00... I don´t know what is going to work for you. I think it would be better to call at night so I´m not completely distracted the rest of the day haha.
This is what Pres. Monestel said about the call: Disfruten y aprovechen esta oportunidad para animar, elevar y agradecer a su familia, especialmente a su madre. He´s so cool.
Well, Rafael is going to get married and baptized this Saturday. It´s been really cool to teach him. Friday he showed up at our house to tell us that he couldn´t get married or baptized because he had problems with his kids. Someone told them that he was going to get married and they said you lived with our mo for 38 years and never got married. Why are you gogn to get married in the Mormon church to someone that you´ve been with for four months. So, he just told us no. Thanks for everything, you´re always welcome at my house, but it´s not going to work out. about 30 minutes later hnos Narvaes stopped by to tell us that Rafael isn´t married (he got married when he was about 20). There is no record of his marriage. Nicaragua writes down legal stuff in books, and when there isn´t any more room for any more books, they burn the old records. It´s a blessing for us! :) So, Saturday we went to talk to him. We taught the plan of salvation and we were talkign about baptism and he started again, no I cant´ get baptized because of my kids. He said, we can´t keep living in sin, so we´re going to separate. Maria Magdalena started to cry, just quietly, but she was really sad. I just wanted to kick them because there was nothing to impede them! His kids just want to inherit his land, so they don´t want him to get married. Hno, la quiere? Hna, lo quiere? se quieren, pues. CASENSE!!! Hna Silva went in the house to give magdalena a hug and I said, Hno Rafael, I´m going to scold you because you know exactly what you should do. Anyway... he said, I`m going to talk with you two privately. He was talking and talking with us about his kids and how he felt sad to see Magdalena sad, he was talking and talking and finally Hna Silva said, wait, are you saying that you want to get married? yes. Pase lo que pase, me voy a casar. We´ll put the date tomorrow. So, we went yesterday and talked with them. And with a little coaxing from Hna Silva, Rafael, got down on his knees and asked Magdalena to marry him. And she said yes. So, this Saturday, we´re going to have a wedding! woo hoo! He prayed for his crops, that he could have a harvest so he could pay tithing in thy church. Wow! He really wants to change. He was just afraid of his kids.
Something funny. In the buses, when you need to get off and you want to bus to give you a little more time to get off you say suave. And almost always, you say suave chele to the bus driver. Chele means whitey. It doesn´t matter what color the bus driver is, you always say chele. The drunks here call me chelita. So, anyway, you yell suave, suave, suave chele. And if you want to make sure they hear you hit the side or the top of the bus as you yell. It basically means, slow down, give me some time. Anyway, one day we were walking and I was saying to Hna Silva that if I walk too fast she can tell me because I have long legs and I walk fast. She was chuckling and said, suave. She didn't sya chela because she knows I don´t like being called chela, but afterwards she couldn't help herself and she started saying suave chela. It´s pretty funny.
We started teaching another hno, Marlon, whose wife is a member. He´s really positive. I´m feeling happy as a missionary because I feel like I actually am helping people come to Christ and be happy. It´s really great to be a missionary and witness so many evidences of God´s love. Also, Hna Silva is awesome. she´s really happy and positive.
Well, I´m going to call this Sunday at 7 or 7 30 and if you aren't there I guess I´ll call another day.
I love you all, be good, be happy!
